RSPCA ACT smashed the Guinness World Record for the ‘Most Dogs Wearing Bandanas’ at their annual Million Paws Walk last Sunday. It took 764 dogs, all wearing bandanas for five minutes to break the record previously held by a group in Canada.
Chief Executive Officer for RSPCA ACT, Tammy Ven Dange expressed her appreciation, “We wouldn’t have been able to achieve this fantastic result without the amazing support from our local community.
Canberrans have really united to help us break this record and raise much needed funds to fight animal cruelty.
We couldn’t have asked for a better turn out.”
Over 3334 dogs and 5127 people attended the event on Sunday. RSPCA ACT is hoping the big turnout will generate over $100,000 for the shelter in Weston. The money raised from this event will go directly to local animals in desperate need of care and protection, the RSPCA animal cruelty Inspectorate, and community education programs.
